As residents and some of Costa Ricas biggest fans all of us here at Coldwell Banker Peninsula Trading Company try and take part in an assortment of activities in and around our community and across the Country. Following are a few of the things that we and our staff actively support and participate in. SPA - Society for the Protection of Animals Coldwell Banker Peninsula Trading Company serves as the chapter head for the Costa Rica Society for the Protection of Animals. The SPA of Costa Ricas vision is of a world where animal welfare matters, and animal cruelty ends. WSPA has been promoting animal welfare for more than 25 years. Our work is concentrated in regions of the world where few, if any, measures exist to protect animals. WSPA's work is focused on four priority animal welfare areas: Companion animals - responsible pet ownership, humane stray management and cruelty prevention / Commercial exploitation of wildlife - intensive farming and the cruel management and killing of wild animals for food or by-products / Farm animals - intensive farming, long distance transport and slaughter of animals for food / Disaster management - providing care to animals suffering as a result of man-made or natural disasters, and thereby protecting people's livelihoods. >Click here for information on how you can get involved. Heart Of Tambor Foundation Coldwell Banker Peninsula Trading Company is a member in the Heart Of Tambor Foundation. Heart of Tambor is a registered Costa Rican non-profit foundation comprised of global citizens whose focus is on assisting the community of Playa Tambor (and its surrounding areas) to build, develop and create a positive environment for its inhabitants, children and visitors. Heart of Tambor will focus on socio-economic issues as well as issues of development, ecology, infrastructure and education. Heart of Tambor Foundation strives to be a catalyst in the betterment of Playa Tambor by providing economic strength to an already defined commitment of its residents. Costa Rica Surfing Federation Coldwell Banker Peninsula Trading Company serves as a sponsor of "La Federación de Surf de Costa Rica" or the Costa Rican Surfing Federation. The Costa Rican Surfing Federation is the national entity responsible for the promotion and Development of surfing in Costa Rica. |
