CARLTON SOLLE Mr. Solle's background includes more than 15 years in sales, marketing and business management. His portfolio of success includes an impressive list of businesses that he has successfully developed from concept to market. His experience encompasses a broad range of projects from unique internationally known restaurant and nightlife concepts to real estate design, development and marketing. Mr. Solle first traveled to Costa Rica when appointed Vice President of Sales for a major US manufacturer. His duties included coordinating a sales force of twenty representatives in a sales territory that included eight different countries. After seeing the explosion in US tourism and real estate in Costa Rica, Mr. Solle accepted the position of Regional Sales Manager for Century 21. In just over a year, he managed and built this sub-franchisee from two offices to six offices. At the same time he served as Century 21's number one sales agent for large development properties in Costa Rica. Having successfully built up the Century 21 business in Costa Rica, Mr. Solle decided it was time to venture out and start his own business. In 2006, he left Century 21 to found his own company, Coldwell Banker Peninsula Trading Company. In just over a year his Coldwell Banker Peninsula Trading Company franchise has grown to employ six full time staff and is now positioned as the premier real estate office on the Nicoya Peninsula. Mr. Solle has had much success developing and promoting the Costa Rican lifestyle "Pura Vida" to international customers from both North America and Europe. Aside from his experience in Real Estate Sales and Marketing, Mr. Solle has also successfully planned, developed and promoted several real estate developments from concept to market. SPENCER JACOBSON Spencer Jacobson hails from the United States Midwest and has spent the last 11 yrs of his life pursuing his passion for travel. This passion has led him to live in more than 15 exciting cities in 4 different countries. His travels helped him experience many different cultures and customs and has now led him to reside in the incredibly, bio-diverse country of Costa Rica. Spencer sold Real Estate in both the United States as well as the Caribbean and now has lived in Tambor, Costa Rica for three years. Spencer's wanderlust has led him through several unique work ventures in his life ranging from Freelance Writer, Bartender, Concert Coordinator, Tour Operator, Real Estate Agent, Regional Operations Manager for Tiffany & Co., part-time Brew Master's assistant, Corporate Sales Trainer, Boutique Watch Manager and Professional Radio Personality. Spencer founded and owned a literary, arts and music magazine as well as taught guitar in 4 different countries. CHARLES POLIZZOTTO Mr. Polizzotto grew up on the beaches of Southern Florida, and has spent his entire life enjoying the outdoors, water sports and nature. NADER SHERIF Embracing his sense of adventure and curiosity of the world, Nader Sherif left his home of Florida to see the world. At the young age of 16, a surfing trip with friends led him to his first experience with Costa Rica. He didn't realize it then, but one day Costa Rica would become his home. In the meantime, Nader worked striking up several opportunities which provided him with both a good income and an independence which he sought, Nader managed to accomplish incredible leaps and bounds professionally; and every career fell back on his innate ability of Sales. SARAH ALTHOFF Mrs. Althoff moved to Costa Rica with her husband in 2008, after living for nearly 20 years in the San Francisco bay area. Fluent in Spanish and a 1989 graduate of Yale University, Sarah's professional experiences range across the fields of biotechnology, financial services and software where she held positions in sales and marketing, business development, market research, and finance. Mrs. Althoff is proudest of the aspects of her career that helped establish and build start-up companies and then successfully take them public or sell them, creating fortunes for management and employees alike. As a stock research analyst for Volpe, Brown, Whelan, then a boutique investment banking firm in San Francisco, in 1994 she was part of a team that took the first Internet company, Netcom, public. As the Internet industry grew at a blazing pace fueled by rapid advances in electronic trading technologies, Sarah joined the Pacific Stock and Options Exchange as Manager of Insider Trading Surveillance. There she led a team of analysts working with the SEC to ensure ethical, efficient stock and option trading markets that would protect global investors whose capital supported the growth of numerous new technology businesses, now household names that are indispensable to today's global economy. In 2000, Sarah joined Financial Engineering Associates (FEA), at the time a small Berkeley, CA-based company specializing in derivative trading software for the energy industry. As a financial software sales manager and Vice President of Alliances, Mrs. Althoff managed a sales and technical support team serving clients on water, power, oil and gas trading desks in Houston, Calgary, New York, London, Belgium, Spain, France, and Germany. Her team was responsible for annual revenues in excess of $25 million. In 2004, FEA was purchased by market analytics firm Barra, which was subsequently sold to MSCI, a division of Morgan Stanley, to form MSCIBarra. After being released from her 'golden handcuffs' at MSCI Barra, Sarah traveled extensively throughout New Zealand, Asia and Europe, eventually settling close to her family in the U.S. where she returned to college to obtain a Master's Degree in Accounting from Kansas State University. In 2008, Sarah agreed to follow her husband's dream of working and living in Costa Rica.
